Preview: See the newly crowned Heisman Trophy winner when you watch the Washington Huskies take on the Baylor Bears at 8 p.m., Dec. 29, 2011 from the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. Washington has taken another forward step in its third season under Steve Sarkisian, but needs to win the Alamo Bowl to finish with a better record than last season. The big surprise for the Huskies this past season has been the emergence of QB Keith Price. Instead of lacking confidence reducing his play to game management, Price has become a playmaker, essentially putting up better numbers than his predecessor Jake Locker. Yet, although his numbers were great for 2011, the Washington defense didn't fare so well ranking 94th nationally in total defense.
Baylor enters post-season bowl play sporting their very first Heisman Trophy winner – QB Robert Griffin III. The Bears have become a must-see team with Griffin at the helm and have received more air time in 2011 than ever before. Nobody throws the deep ball better, and nobody's a better player. But don't listen to the folks who claim RG3 has no help. He's throwing to one of the nation's best wideouts – Kendall Wright. And, there is another Bear weapon in RB Terrence Ganaway who won the Big 12 rusting title with 16 TDs on 1,347 yards rushed.
See if Griffin continues his amazing award-winning ways when you watch the Washington Huskies vs the Baylor Bears in the Valero Alamo Bowl online.
